Innovative New Traffic Sign May Mean Fewer Car Accidents

We are always looking for innovative ways to make driving safer.  When you have seen as many people's lives destroyed by car accidents and personal injuries as we have, you realize how important it is for city and county governments to approach road and traffic design with an open mind.

We liked this video from the recent TED conference featuring Gary Lauder, a venture capitalist.  Gary is a big fan of roundabouts (and we are, too, because they remarkably lower the incidents of car accidents and serious injuries), but realizes that they are very expensive to build.  Instead, he has proposed an elegant solution to reduce intersection accidents.
