Stunning Video Evidence Against Texting School Bus Driver

I just came across this video showing a Broward County school bus driver texting while driving her school bus -- with children on board!  I could barely believe my eyes.  I couldn't believe that a professionally trained and licensed driver -- who is charged with transporting a very precious cargo -- would be so brazen and careless.

Not only was this bus driver putting the children on the bus at risk, but she is also operating a large vehicle weighing several tons.  Her texting while driving puts all of the other drivers on the road at risk for a very serious Florida car accident.

Ironically, I posted a blog on distracting driving just yesterday.  Studies conducted by the U.S. Department of Transportation have shown that texting while driving is the most distracting activity any driver can do.

As an Orlando automobile accident attorney who represents people injured by people texting while driving, this kind of story hits too close to home.  Hopefully, the Brevard County School Board will take some kind of action against the school driver captured in the students' photos.  In addition, hopefully other Florida school boards will see this story and use it as a cautionary tale or training tool for their transportation departments.
