Woman Dies, Others Seriously Injured In U.S. 27 Crash Near Clermont

Garnet Kohn was riding along as a passenger of Wendy Schell heading south down U.S. Highway 27, nearing the Four Corners where Orange, Lake, Osceola, and Polk Counties meet, when a car driven by Frank Glow, 83, pulled out in front of them.  The crash was so severe that it caused Ms. Kohn's wrongful death later at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Media reports indicate that Mr. Glow and his passenger, Margaret Davis, also of Clermont, were both seriously injured.  Ms. Schell was reported to have been seriously injured, as well.

Media and police reports are silent as to why Mr. Glow pulled into the path of Ms. Schell's Nissan.  Mr. Glow was exiting the Sienna Ridge subdivision at Margaux Drive and was attempting to turn right into the same lane of travel as Ms. Schell.  Those who know the area know that that intersection is very flat and wide open and traffic can be seen for hundreds of feet in every direction.
