Wrong Way Crash Kills Two Near Mims In Brevard

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting about a crash near Mims on State Road 46 in Brevard County that tragically lead to the death of both drivers. Apparently, Dale Francis was operating his 1997 Chevrolet S.U.V. on the wrong side of the center line on State Road 46 when it crashed head-on into a pickup truck heading in the opposite direction. The crash was so severe that both drivers were killed in the impact.
While I was not at the accident scene, and the news story did not mention it, it would not surprise me if drugs or alcohol were involved. As I have previously posted here, and here, in my experience as an Orlando accident attorney, it is rare to see a wrong-way accident without some outside influence causing the driver to travel in the wrong direction.
